December 15, 2003 Albany- Many post office employees worked through the night Monday to make sure your holiday mail makes it where it's going on time.
December 15 is the busiest day of the year for post offices. The main branch of the Albany post office handled more than 1.5 million pieces of mail today. That's more than a 50 percent increase over a normal day.
If you still have packages to mail, you can pay regular postage through December 22 and the item should make it by Christmas Day. After that, you'll need to Express Mail the items.
