Dougherty County -- A record number of bicycles have been donated to the Bikes or Bust event in Albany.
These are some of the 875 donated bikes. Marine Reservists, B-100 Radio Station, and volunteers collected the bikes at the Wal-Mart in Lee County. The Marine Reservists also have been collecting presents for Toys For Tots.
They say South Georgians' generosity have made it possible for every child on their list to get a present. Sgt. Marvin Jennigs said "It's something that Marines do. Besides fighting or protecting our nation. We just love to see kids happy at Christmas time."
The donated bikes will be distributed Friday. The Toys for Tots toys will be given out Wednesday.
