Albany -- Some Dougherty County kids get to pick out early Christmas Presents, thanks to "Shop with a Cop."
8 year old Kelvin Mathis picked out a basketball as one of his presents when he went shopping with Captain Kevin Spruhl of the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office. Kelvin was one of four kids who got to shop for Christmas presents at K-Mart with Sheriff's Deputies.
Captain Kevin Spruhl said "We love helping make sure some kids who might not be getting presents at Christmas are taken care of. The Southwest Georgia Exchange club gave two hundred dollars to pay for the presents. That is what Christmas is really all about, giving."
Each child got to pick out 50 dollars worth of toys.
Ryan's Steakhouse also invited the Deputies and kids for dinner after their shopping trip.
