Tifton - There's a new place in south Georgia where you can relax and sip on a cup of joe.

Starbucks Coffee will open this week in Tifton. The store has cafe tables, outdoor seating and a drive thru.

Store manager, Megan Belvay, says their goal is to also get involved in the community. She explains, "We are researching things, we're looking at Ruth's Cottage, donating our time and some money. It's also a gathering place for people."

The Tifton Starbucks has hired nearly two dozen employees. On Monday, those employees were training to get ready to serve coffee and hot chocolate to customers early Thursday morning.

The store is off Interstate 75, next to the Holiday Inn.
