(Atlanta-AP) -- Cedric Hatten tossed two first-half touchdown passes and Valdosta earned a berth in its 29th state championship game, beating Westside-Macon 21-to-six in a Class Five-A state semifinal.

With tonight's win at the Georgia Dome, Valdosta makes the finals in its first year under coach Rick Darlington. The last of Valdosta's 23 state championships came in 1998. Valdosta will play host to top-ranked Camden County Saturday at 7:30 pm.

Hatten, who completed four of six passes for 190 yards, connected with Cedric Hill for touchdowns of 74 and 61 yards as the Wildcats (eleven and three) built a 21-to-oh halftime lead. Victor Harrell added a 10-yard run. Westside finishes eleven-and-three.
