Albany --Some volunteers and a national retail store are helped share the gift of giving with children in need Saturday. The Junior League of Albany and Target made it possible for 100 children selected from the Salvation Army's Holiday Assistance Program to buy gifts for their family members. Volunteers say this is a great way to give to the children and also a great way for the children to experience the joy of giving themselves.  "Its been great, I have really enjoyed meeting the children and helping them pick out gifts for their family member,"says new Junior League member, Mindy Northrop. This is the third year the Junior League has organized the shopping spree. They hope next Christmas they will double the number of children they can take shopping.
