Cordele-- A Crisp County man is stabbed to death during a family argument.

34-year-old Rodney Bryan Forehand was arguing with his brother-in-law, 50-year-old Dewey Wayne Thacker, Thursday when he was killed.

Investigators say Forehand pulled a steak knife on Thacker and Thacker grabbed a butcher knife out of his truck. Forehand was stabbed twice in the upper part of his body. Thacker told deputies it was in self defense. Thacker was released from police custody last night to return to his home in Crossville, Alabama. Deputies do not when, or if, Thacker will be charged.
