ALBANY - Boys and girls in south Albany have a new place to gather, keeping them off the streets.

Mount Zion Baptist Church opened the ninth unit of the Albany Boy's and Girl's Club in their churches gym.  Directors say it is necessary that the youth in South Albany have somewhere to go, especially during crucial hours when they're out of school and their parents are at work.

Attending the club is free. Interested parents can enroll their children Monday through Friday at the Dr. James E. Grant Family Center behind Mount Zion Church.
