Closing arguments in Blakely trial

December 10, 2003

Blakely-- Closing arguments are underway in the case against a Blakely City Councilman.

Al Hutchins is accused of taking more than $11,000 dollars in health insurance money. The State says Hutchins signed up under the City's policy as a full-time employee, but he isn't.

A courtroom spectator says former city clerk Sterling Jones admitted he filled out the insurance application for Hutchins, and Hutchins signed it. The jury could begin deliberations Wednesday evening.
