Parade goes on in the mist of controversy

Albany --There were fireworks earlier this week a controversy mired Albany's Christmas parade. Confederate re-enactors were kicked out of the parade last week because Albany State's band director disagrees with the group's philosophy. But, in the end the ASU band and the re-enactors marched in Saturday's parade. " I heard that it was problem have the Confederate people and the people in Albany State being in it, but that didn't matter to me because it's Christmas and I wanted my son to have his first Christmas parade. It didn't matter to me,"say parade goer Kareema Williams. To stop problems over who will be allowed in, the parade may be an invitation-only event in the future.
