Valdosta - The annual winterfest celebration starts at noon Saturday in the downtown area.

There will be more than 50 arts and crafts vendors, all day entertainment, and trolley and carriage rides. The parade starts at 5:00 at Mathis City Auditorium and will run down Patterson Street.

"We'll have about 100 home made floats, so it will be a long and entertaining parade, lasting about an hour and a half," said James Horton, Mainstreet Director.

After the parade, the Lowndes High Georgia Bridgemen will perform for the community at Christ the King Episcopal Church on Central Avenue.
