Valdosta - A Lanier County jail escapee is found hiding in Lowndes County.
Twenty-six year old Gary Manning walked out of the Lanier County Jail Tuesday night. Lowndes County investigators got a tip that he was hiding in a house near Valdosta and found him Wednesday morning.
He's back in custody and now charged with escape.
Manning was in jail awaiting transfer to a state prison for a burglary conviction.
