Dawson--Volunteers were preparing since early this week for the annual Thanksgiving food give away in Dawson. 70 volunteers started around 7am Thursday morning boxing over 12 hundred Thanksgiving meals with all the trimmings for needy families. Meals were load in vans and cars and hand delivered. Dawson's Mayor and Fire chief organized the event and said it couldn't be done with out the work of generous volunteers. "All persons here today and those who are not here have worked hard to increase the number of people we are able to provide a wholesome meal for, say Robert Allbritten Dawson's Mayor. This year was the largest giveway effort in the programs 8 years.
