Albany --An Albany grocery store will close for good Wednesday. Parent company Bruno's is shutting down the Foodmax on North Slappey. All this week the store has been slashing prices getting rid of perishable items such as meat and dairy products.
If you were looking for a good deal today you may have waited too late. " Everything was fourthy percent off. But everything is about sold out. They about clean it out and put stuff up," says shopper Selena Recter.
Store officials say benefits will be made available to the 28 people employed at Foodmax.
