Albany- Businessman Peter Studel has bought the property that lines the 100 block of Front Avenue, across from the Turtle Grove play park.
He plans to open four new businesses there, a coffee shop, upscale jazz club, a microbrewery, and Fire Truck Pizza and Museum.
The pizza restaurant will house nearly a dozen museum quality fire trucks.
"To me as an avid tourist I would come here. So, I think it's a natural to this economy. Tourism is the fastest way to build the economy in Albany," he says.
He hopes to have Fire Truck Pizza open by the end of 2004. Studel says he's just adding to the many tourist attractions Albany already has.
