Truman, Mo.-The Albany State University Lady Rams have gottten better but they are still have some work to go before they can compete at the NCAA Division II regionals.
Albany State loses three straight games to Central Missouri State in the first round of the South Central regional.
The Lady Rams, making their third straight NCAA appearance, were hoping to win at least one match.
Albany State lead 17-11 in game one but Central Missouri State scored eight of the next nine points to rally for a 30-26 win.
The Jennies then won games two and three by the score of 30-16.
Albany State outside hitter Janel Herring led the Lady Rams with 11 kills and Sandra Boyd had eight kills and 15 digs.
The Lady Rams, the bottom seed in the six team regional, were hoping to upset the same Central Missouri State team that beat them in Albany State's first ever regional apperance two years ago.
Albany State finishes the season with a 28-9 record and have won three straight Southern Intercollegiate Athletic conference championships.
