Albany-- Faces from the past at some schools today. It's Retired Education Day. More than 600 retired educators visited a school of their choice to eat a special Thanksgiving meal.
At Alice Coachman Elementary School in Albany, retired teachers like Margaret Primo says it's great to be recognized. She taught music around the country from 1932 until 1974. Primo turned 91 Thursday. "It means everything especially to Albany because I have very dear friends and I'm so happy I came back because they still take care of me," she said.
Students from the Mentees Alpha Phi Alpha group recited a poem to the retired educators. This week is also American Education Week.
