Valdosta - A South Georgia service agency receives the money it needs to keep its doors open.
Tuesday, we told you about the 211 call center of South Central Georgia. The agency just opened in June, but because of a lack of funding, they could have been forced to shut down.
Yesterday morning, an anonymous donor gave the agency $15,000.00. The person also agreed to pick up the director's salary for several months. She had been working without pay for almost six months.
This money will allow the agency to keep running until next year's grant money comes in.
211 is a link between people in need and health and human services.
