Vohun steps down

November 17, 2003

Leesburg-Lee County head football Frank Vohun is stepping down after just two years at the helm of the Trojans program. Vohun informed his staff and team of his decision Monday afternoon.

In his two seasons in Leesburg, Vohun managed a dismal 2 and 18 record and stumbled to an 0 for 10 record in region 1-AAAAA play.  Vohun came to Lee County High from Washington-Wilkes High where he led the Tigers to a 38-15 mark in four years and played for the AA state championship in 2000.

"The program here has just got some things they need to address and I'm not the one to address those.  That's up to the people that are here to address the needs of the program and to take it to the next level or wherever they want it to go," Vohun said.

Vohun says he will stay on board as a teacher at Lee County High until he finds another coaching job or until the end of this school year.
