Albany- Some Dougherty County educators talked about federal education reform Monday with a man who wants to be your next Senator.

Sixth District Congressman Johnny Isaakson co-authored the No Child Left Behind Act but admits it has problems. He says many educators complain about the difficulty in bringing all students to grade level.

Isaacson is campaigning for Zell Miller's Senate seat.

"We've had two great senators in Zell Miller and Paul Coverdell," he said. "That seat's open now and we're working hard to be the best choice for that job."

Miller is not running for re-election. Isaakson is one of several Republicans running for the seat. No major Democrat has announced.
