Lee County-- Some Lee County parents are learning to read.

Learning to read to their kids, that is. The Pre-K program in Lee County is offering a parent workshop Monday tonight, that will teach them how to read their child's favorite book like a pro.

Adrienne Hamlin, Lee County's Pre-K Director, says "We show the parents how to hold books, read from left to right top to bottom. How to open and turn the pages with their children. We ask the parents to look at the pictures with their children and talk about the pictures they see pointing at the words as they read to their children left to right."

It's only offered to parents whose children are enrolled in the Lee County Pre-K program. It starts tonight at seven at the Lee County Library in Leesburg.
