Cordele-- A University of Georgia student is indicted in Crisp County for the boating death of a friend.
This is the ski boat 20-year-old Robert Martyn Cannon was driving when he crashed into the Smoak Bridge train trestle in August. His fraternity brother, Tommy O'Rourke of Alpharetta, died from severe head injuries. Cannon and another friend on the boat were not injured. A Crisp County Grand Jury has now indicted Cannon on charges of homicide by a vessel and reckless operation of a vessel. No trial date has been set.
