Frankfort, Ky- The Albany State volleyball team dominating the SIAC awards.
Senior setter Erica Nepote from Chanute Kansas has been named the most valuable player of the year in the SIAC and junior outside hitter Janel Herring from Tallahassee is the offensive player of the year.
Nepote had more than 1,000 assists and 55 service aces in 30 matches this season while Herring has 466 kills in leading the Lady Rams to 23 wins during the regular season.
Both Nepote and Herring were also first team all conference team selections.
Bad news on the court, Albany State lost to Kentucky State knocking the two-time defending conference championsh into the elimination bracket.
