Irwin County--A detention center being reopened in Irwin county will bring new jobs and big contracts to area businesses. Corrnel company of Texas acquired a detention center in Ocilla. It was closed in 2002 by state budgets cuts. When reopened the facility will house about 400 offenders. Officials estimate the center will pump 100 million dollars into the county's economy. The new owners will spend about 2 million dollars to renovate the facility that they hope to open early next year.
