Albany-- A piece of a famous Albany Oak fell on a passing car last week. Today, the old tree got a trimming.

No one seems to know the exact age of this oak tree, on Dawson Road near East Edgewater Drive, although estimates are more than 100 years old. City crews removed damaged limbs from the enormous tree this morning. The whole process took about two and a half hours, and traffic had to be rerouted. Don't worry though, no more of the tree will be removed.
