Columbus - A Ft. Benning soldier returns safely from Iraq, but is stabbed and killed in Georgia. Four fellow soldiers are behind bars.

Ft. Benning investigators found the bones of 25-year-old Richard Thomas Davis in this wooded area on Milgen Road in Columbus.

Davis came back from Iraq in mid-July. He was later reported missing by his father. Investigators believe his body has been in the woods since then. H

is 3rd Brigade comrades Jacob Burgoyne, Mario Navarrete and Douglas Woodcoff, all 24 years of age, are charged with concealing his death.

Another soldier, 23-year-old Alberto Martinez is charged with murder and is in custody in California. Martinez recently got out of the military.

All five soldiers returned from Operation Iraqi Freedom on July 12th.

Investigators say the men got in a fight with each other at the Platinum Club in Columbus. The club is two miles from where Davis' body was found. A tip led investigators to the wooded area.
