Lenox - A South Georgia mayor-elect may not get to fulfill his duties. Paul Harvey, III won the Lenox mayoral election over Incumbent Dan Robinson 88 votes to 59. But after the votes were counted, the board of elections realized he wasn't a registered voter in the town.

Unless someone filed a complaint within five days, Harvey could have still been sworn in as mayor. But Robinson contested the election.

Harvey believed he was a registered voter, and says he's not giving up. "In 2001 I did register to vote and I filed that paperwork with the clerk at that time who's no longer with them," said Harvey.

The case will be decided by a superior court judge. posted at 4:50 by
