Albany-- A national clothing chain brings dozens of new jobs to Albany.

The line for the checkout at Rugged Warehouse was long, as shoppers picked up name-brand clothes and home accessories at the grand opening Friday. The discount store is new to Southwest Georgia.

Store Manager Tony Fomerman says, "Currently I have 58 employees. They were hired temporarily to open the store. The good news is it looks like I'll wind up keeping about 80 percent of them I'll have about 40 employees."

The Albany store is located in the Cross Station shopping center on Old Dawson Road. Rugged Warehouse has locations in Savannah, Athens and North Georgia. Three new stores in the Atlanta area are opening next week.
