Valdosta - Two South Georgia police officers are under investigation for accepting a bribe.

The Valdosta police officers have been assigned to administrative duties until the internal investigation is finished. Investigators say while providing security at Club Illusions, the officers accepted a small amount of money from someone trying to get in the club.

"The chief could do several things," said Lt. Brian Childress. "He could give them a written reprimand, suspend them, or it could result in termination."

Police Chief Frank Simons hopes to have the investigation finished sometime next week.
