Dawson-- Terrell County leaders want to help protect one of South Georgia's largest employers, MCLB Albany.
The Mayors in Dawson, Parrott and Sasser are teaming with the Terrell County Commission to send representatives to Atlanta to lobby on behalf of the Marine Base.
MCLB Albany has a multi-million dollar impact on the economy in Terrell County. Now, they're raising money to pay for the campaign. County Commissioner Lucius Holloway says, "Checks are beginning to roll in so it was a very easy sell. And they see the impact the Marine Base has on Terrell County."
