Dougherty County -- Dougherty County Police chase down and arrest an Albany man wanted for armed robbery in Florida. 22 year old William Donnie McCulligh is wanted for robbing a jewelry store in Brevard County, Florida October 16th.
He is also charged with breaking into several homes in Worth County.
After almost catching him several times in the last two weeks, Dougherty County Investigators learned he was in this mobile home on Pine Bluff Road. Five officers surrounded the home, when he started running.
Lt. Dennis Dawson said "As I pulled up to the front door, as I walked up , I could see someone was looking out the blinds. As officers walked around to come to the back door of the residence, he slipped out the back door before we could get everyone in place. He ran through a couple of yards and over some tin shelters, knocked a couple of those down. An officer was able to catch him about a block away from where we were located."
McCulligh is being held in the Dougherty County jail, but he will soon be moved to the Worth County Jail.
