(Albany-AP) -- Uyl Joyner accounted for 256 yards and two touchdowns and Antonio Atkins ran for two scores to help Albany State record its fifth victory in a row, 40 to 0 over Benedict today.
The Golden Rams (7-2, 5-1 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) also scored when Marc Jefferson scooped up a blocked punt and returned it five yards. Benedict (5-4, 3-3) could never generate any offense against the Rams, netting only 115 yards on 65 offensive plays.
Joyner completed eleven of 21 passes for 197 yards and added another 59 yards on 15 carries. He scored on a ten-yard run and had a 76-yard scoring pass to Alvin Jackson, who had four receptions for 133 yards. Atkins' touchdowns covered six and three yards.
