Albany -- Albany firefighters once again are flexing their muscles to help the homeless. Thirteen members of the Albany Fire Department posed for the camera Friday morning, as they complete work on their 2004 Calendar.

The buff firefighters finished off their photo shoots for their second calendar. All the proceeds raised by the calendar go to the Albany Dougherty Coalition to end homelessness.

Captain Kelly Harcrow said "That's what being a fireman is all about, helping the community. Usually it's in an emergency situation. This was we get to do something that's fun and has a direct impact on the community."

Firefighter Tony Knight said "I really enjoy trying to help people if I can . And it's opportunity to take pride if how you keep yourself in shape and all that good stuff. So I enjoy that as well."

Last year's calendar raised five thousand dollars, despite not going on sale until February. This year's Firefighters calendar will go on sale around Thanksgiving. They are ten dollars.

You can get them at the Fire Department Headquarters or stores around Albany.
