Americus-- An Americus college student is attacked and raped on her way to her work study job.
The 19-year-old Georgia Southwestern student was walking to Cherokee Elementary School where she worked when an armed man tried to rob her Wednesday morning. He then dragged her to some nearby storage units and raped her.
The man was masked. He is described as a black male of medium height who was wearing a long black coat. There have been no arrests. Authorities say they do have some leads in the case.
