Albany -- Five Albany gang members, who shot a clerk and robbed a store, are headed to prison.

18 year old Mark Hodges, the trigger man, got 25 years in prison for wounding the clerk at the Oasis Store on South Slappey in May 2002.

17 year old Orlando Laster, 16 year old Saderick Blocker, 19 year old Dennis Smith, and 16 year old Terry Daniel all admitted taking part in the robbery. They were each sentenced to an average of 3 years in prison. All are members of the C.M.E. Rattlers street gang.

22 year old Kwanis Young, 20 year old Shepperton Lee, and Willie Pratt confessed to helping hide the robbers after the shooting. They were also ordered to serve short prison sentences.

The clerk recovered fully after being shot.
