Valdosta - Police charged a man with raping a South Georgia woman behind a convenience store. Nineteen year old Dwayne Brown of College Park is behind bars, accused of raping and robbing a 22-year-old Valdosta woman.

Police say he forced his way into the victim's car around 2:00 Monday morning at the Chevron station on North Ashley Street. He held a gun to her side and forced her to drive to a dark, secluded area behind the store where he raped her and stole her wallet and cell phone.

The woman says Brown made her drive him back to the gas station where he got out and ran, and she went inside to call police.

Police found him about an hour later sleeping in a car at a hotel a few blocks from the store.
