(Livingston, Alabama-AP) -- Barrett Wilkes threw for a season-high 456 yards and five touchdowns as Valdosta State remained undefeated with a 58 to 13 win over West Alabama today.
Valdosta State is ranked Number One in Division Two and has won 21 of 22 games all-time against West Alabama (2-6, 1-5). Wilkes threw a 41 yard touchdown pass to Bama Adams and a 23 yard score to Andre Zellner in the game's first six minutes.
After Presley Gilmore scored on a nine yard run to pull the Tigers within 14-to-10, the Blazers' Will Rhody kicked a 33 yard field goal, the first of 44 unanswered points for Valdosta State.
West Alabama finally ended the scoring drought with less than a minute to play on a 28-yard field by Tonya Butler.
