(Atlanta-AP) -- Antonio Atkins ran for 195 yards and four touchdowns and Uyl Joyner accounted for 234 yards and three scores as Albany State overpowered Clark Atlanta 56-to-7 today.
Atkins, who had 26 carries, scored on runs of 24, 5, 20 and 5 yards. Joyner ran for 80 yards and passed for 154. He scored on a one-yard run and threw scoring passes of 41 yards to Clenton Rafe and 15 yards to Alvin Jackson.
Albany State (6-2, 4-1 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) also got a 40-yard scoring run from Hosea Harris in the final minute.
Clark Atlanta (0-8, 0-6) scored its only touchdown with 11:55 to play in the third quarter on a three-yard run by Tony Mathis.
