Thomasville - Around 11:45 Wednesday morning, 47-year old Valarie Herring of Thomasville was traveling east on the US-84 By-Pass, when she attempted to make a left turn onto Cassidy Road.

46-year old Carl Parker of Ashburn was traveling West on the By-Pass in a Ford F150 and struck the passenger side of Herring's Suzuki Vitara.

Herring was killed and Parker sustained minor injuries. The Thomasville State Patrol is still investigating the accident.
