Lowndes County - A South Georgia woman is in critical condition after an 18-wheeler plowed into her car.

Thirty-four year old Tonya Parks of Quitman was driving her Toyota Camry south down Highway 133 around 8:00 Wednesday morning. She tried to turn onto Val Tech Road and pulled out in front of a tractor trailer.

Her 13-year-old daughter was riding in the back on the driver's side. She's in fair condition.

"The truck basically crushed the car and pushed the passengers side all the way up into the driver's side," said Trooper Rick Dunn.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, 48-year-old David Keller of Canada, was not injured.
