(Americus-AP) -- The Americus Times-Recorder has named Jack McNeely as its new publisher and editor. McNeely will join the Times-Recorder as publisher and editor November first.

He previously served as publisher for Morehead News Group -- a cluster of Community Newspapers Holdings Incorporated multi-weekly and weekly newspapers in Morehead, Kentucky.

A native of West Virginia, McNeely also worked ten years there as sports editor, editor and general manager at the Logan Banner -- a daily newspaper with a circulation of 9,500.
