Albany- The Albany Recreation and Parks Department hosted their 3rd annual Arts in the Park event Saturday.

This year's theme was Wild about Art. Children got a chance to display their artistic abilities at 20 activity booths.

"Because of all the things they get to do it's a wonderful opportunity to come and play. The arts help give you a balance in your life," says coordinator, Virginia Skalla.

The kids completed projects using everything from traditional art mediums like paint to frosting for cute cookie creations.
