Mayor dishes up school lunch

October 14, 2003

Albany - The Mayor of Albany enjoyed lunch at Lincoln Fundamental Elementary school, but he was on the serving side of the food line. Mayor Tommy Coleman dished up cookies, apples, and pizza for students to recognize national school lunch week.

Lincoln Elementary serves more than 600 lunches every day - that's about 350 apples, 600 pizza slices, and gallons of broccoli. All Dougherty County students can eat breakfast and lunch for free. Parents are invited to eat with their children this week.
