Valdosta--Valdosta State sophomore Bama Adams is this week's Gulf South Conference special teams player of the week.  Adams returned three punts for 82 yards, including a 56 yard touchdown return, in Saturday's 31-28 win over Arkansas-Monticello.

Adams is the third Blazer to return a punt for a touchdown this season, but the first to receive special team player of the week honors.

Valdosta State hosts Central Arkansas Saturday at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium at 1pm.
