Dawson- Of the four teams who have made it to the GISA state softball finals, Terrell Academy is the only squad who wasn't in last year's final four.
Even though this is only the Lady Eagles second season of playing fast pitch softball, they will not be content with just making the final four.
No the 15-4 Terrell Academy squad is going to Milledgeville this Saturday with a goal of winning the schools first softball state championship.
And as for that final four experience, most of these players know what it is like to play for a state title after they made it the basketball final four back in the spring.
Senior Brynne Callaway said "It is really big advantage because everybody knows everybody's moves and we have all been playing together for three or four years. It is a real advantage."
Coach Keith Jones said "There is no transition from one sport to the next. When you have two different coaches alot of times you have two different styles. They kinda of know my style and I kinda know theirs."
Terrell Academy plays LaGrange in the first round of the four team double elimination tournament Saturday morning at 10:00.
