Leesburg-- It will be a quiet election day in Lee County next month. Three Leesburg City posts are up for grabs--but only one is contested. Post Five incumbent Sydney Johnson is running against Victor Stubbs. Stubbs lost a race for the post six city council seat in March.

Voter turnout is expected to be low. Election Supervisor Veronica Johnson says, "Leesburg has had a problem with low voter turnout. The last election we did have a higher voter turnout than what we expected, we hope its a trend that will continue."

Absentee ballots for the November 4th elections will be accepted starting Monday. Johnson says there are normally very few absentee ballots in a municipal election.
