Lanier County - Thirty-three-year-old Walter Lee Anderson, Jr. is under arrest and is a person of interest in the murder of 41-year-old Jody Graham. "We're not releasing the cause of death yet, but I will say she had some very violent trauma," said John Heinen, GBI Agent.

Graham was a housekeeper at Dana Giddens' home on Highway 221 South. A relative found her dead around noon Monday. Her car had been stolen.

Just a few hours before Graham was found dead, Walter Anderson's wife, Annette, was killed in a car crash on Highway 135 near Lakeland. Tracking dogs have found physical evidence at both scenes linking the two incidents together.

"The two scenes were only about a fourth of a mile apart," said Heinen.

Monday night, Graham's stolen car was found burning on Wilson Pond Road in Brooks County. Search dogs and law enforcement from all over the area conducted a four hour manhunt to find the suspect. "We had guys from Lowndes County, Valdosta, Lanier County, Brooks County, the GSP, and an outpouring of help from local law enforcement," said Heinen.

Walter Lee Anderson Jr. was found around 1:30 Tuesday morning at Hudson Dockett Housing Projects in Valdosta.

Jody Graham's and Annette Anderson's bodies have been sent to the crime lab in Atlanta for autopsies.
