Albany-- John "Sonny" Spadine and his daughter Heather Hoover are accused of working together to scam auto suppliers out of money.

Spadine (pronounced Spuh-DEEN-ee) is charged with more than 40 counts of fraud, Hoover with 19 counts of fraud.

Prosecutors say the pair ordered auto parts over the phone and then canceled the checks and changed the name of their business. Spadine owned and operated three auto stores in Albany.

The trial will continue Tuesday.
