Albany- Members of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Atlanta toured the Albany Tuesday and accepted a proclamation naming October 10th as Republic of China Day.

The proclamation recognizes the country's 92nd anniversary and their successful presidential election in 2000.

"The longstanding friendship between our two countries is quite cordial, so it is my pleasure to visit the city of Albany, especially to receive the proclamation from Mr. mayor for their best wishes," says Director General, R. C. Wu.

Representatives say they are also considering Albany as a relocation site for a Chinese food processing company.
