Demolition company hired to tear down Casino

Dougherty County-- The Radium Springs Casino demolition will begin next Monday.

 The Dougherty County commission awarded the demolition contract to Dove Management of Jonesboro. They bid 70-thousand dollars to tear down the landmark.

Salvage efforts continue at the Casino, saving as much of the original building as possible. Development Services Manager Tracy Hester said "It is my understanding that the salvage is on time, and going as scheduled. Most all the elements that they were after have been taken out of there."

October 6th the demolition will start to level what's left of the the flood damaged structure. They must have the building site leveled by December 1st.
